Would you like to stop hair loss and thinning

DON’T LET ANYONE tell you that losing your hair is just another part of growing older. How many times have you heard ‘if anyone’s bald in your family you’ve got no chance of keeping your hair!’ The good news is you can do something about it.

Scientists have found that baldness is caused by a hormone called Dihydrotestosterone, or DHT. This hormone shrinks your hair follicles so they are no longer able to produce hair strong enough to either begin to grow or remain in your scalp for any length of time.

A breakthrough formula called Minoxamax® has been pioneered which can actually switch off the receptors on the hair follicle, so DHT has no effect on them. Not only does this prevent follicles from shrinking but it will even cause lost areas of hair to regrow!

Sebum oils are released from glands in the follicle to lubricate the hair for smooth growth. But if the hairs are unhealthy or damaged by the effects of DHT, the sebum oils harden. This prevents normal growth of the already thinning and weakened hair.

Why do men lose their hair through male pattern baldness?

As we get older, a key enzyme called 5-Alpha- Reductase (5AR) is instrumental in a process that turns the hormone testosterone into Dihydrotestosterone, or DHT. A lack of vital nutrients reaching the cells in the hair follicle has a devastating effect on hair growth, as DHT destroys natural hair development.

Research shows that the damaging DHT is found not only within the hair follicle, but also at the root of the hair shaft (dermal papilla) and accumulates in areas known as androgen receptor sites around the follicle – with devastating effects.

Crucially, the DHT then causes the follicles to shrink which eventually become useless. This is when your scalp begins to show through your hair. It is the build up of DHT inside the hair follicles which is the main cause of male pattern hair loss.
