Trouble with breathing and snoring during sleep may be an early warning sign of Alzheimer’s, a new study claims.
Dr Ricardo Osorio, of New York University School of Medicine, said: “One factor may be that some patients are in the earliest pre-clinical stages of Alzheimer’s.”His team plans to study whether brain damage caused by very early stage dementia can trigger the sleep disorder.
